Fill up with energy!

At school, on trips, at the gym or at work… sometimes you need to recharge your batteries. There's nothing healthier than a granola bar, enriched with honey and dried fruits maybe? Even healthier if you prepare it yourself with the Healthy bar press DELLA CASA: three silicone moulds and a press accessory which will help you make granola bars, either baked or unbaked.

Walnut bars with dates and honey
120 g peeled almonds, 120 g walnuts, 120 g dried dates, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp ground cinnamon.

Divide the mixture into 6 equal parts. Insert the silicone moulds into the container and fill with the prepared mixture just below the rim. Put the moulds in the containers one on top of another and put the cap on. Set both flexible closures into the indents in the cap and leave to set in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

Useful hint: The longer the press with the bars in the refrigerator, the better the bar preserves its shape.

Disassemble the press, remove the silicone moulds from the plastic containers and carefully turn the bars out of the moulds by pressing gently on the flexible bottom.

Fitness with coconut
100 g rye flakes, 100 ml coconut milk, 30 g cashews, 30 g walnuts, 20 g grated coconut, 64 g vanilla protein powder, 1 tsp cinnamon.

Chop all the dry ingredients from the recipe, add the liquid ingredients, and process into a coarse stick mixture.

Baking the bars
Divide the mixture into 6 equal parts; fill the silicone moulds just below the rim and press down well. Insert the moulds without the plastic containers into a preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 °C. Leave the baked bars to cool and carefully turn them out of the containers by pushing gently on the flexible bottom.

Useful hint:  Top the baked bars with melted chocolate.
